Keeping RV solar clean without climbing a ladder

How do you keep your solar panels clean? What if you don’t like ladders or, like us, have so many solar panels on the roof of your RV that you almost can’t walk on the roof?

Or you’re just looking for the laziest way to accomplish anything? We have the solution.

We met Christopher Lawrence from Almost Heaven Microfiber at several RV shows where we bought the Mr. Long Arm extendable pole and a cleaning head. That cleaning head has hook and loop fasteners on it where you can attach various cleaning cloths that Almost Heaven sells.

I then use my RV Slideout Sweep and can literally clean the solar panels from the ground.

To add to my advice on laziness I often will attach a GoPro to the Mr. Long Arm pole and keep an eye on what I’m doing from the ground. It’s very convenient and also means that I don’t have to get up on a ladder.

Further, I use this method to regularly inspect the seals on the roof of our RV.

Sure, getting a ladder is preferable but this is easier and safer, to my way of thinking.
