Cocoa Krispie Treats

Rice Krispie Treats are a very popular snack, and loved by many.

However, for someone who isn’t fond of marshmallows, they aren’t as wonderful a treat.

That’s where this recipe comes in. They have all the fun of a rice krispie treat, but without marshmallow.

As a lover of anything chocolate, and anything peanut butter, this recipe is one of my favorites.

In addition, these are super easy to make - and no baking is involved! So if you aren’t one to enjoy your RV oven, you can still enjoy a treat while camping.

You could make these before going camping, or make them fresh at camp - they are so easy. Set a plate of these tasty treats near your extra camp chair for the full camp flirt experience!

Ingredients

1 Cup Brown Sugar

2/3 Cup Light Corn Syrup

1 Cup Peanut Butter

6 Cups Cocoa Krispie cereal

Easy preparation

  1. Put the cereal in a large bowl (you’ll want lots of room for stirring!)

  2. Mix the syrup and brown sugar in a small saucepan and bring it to a boil

  3. Add the peanut butter and bring it back to a boil. Be patient, the boil is important or the treats won’t stick together

  4. Pour the sticky stuff over the cereal and mix together really well

  5. Transfer the mixture into a buttered dish and press it down tight

  6. Cool, cut, and enjoy!
