A Day in the Office

We spent the day in the office. We interviewed a podcast guest to help debut a brand new product. We had other phone calls planning episodes and travel.

Morning

I slept until I wanted to get up today. Tony woke up pretty early and started writing. Once I got my brain working, I made protein waffles and fried up some of the can of maple flavored SPAM that we bought at the museum the other day. This is one of the biggest reasons we went to Aldi yesterday; we were out of eggs so I couldn’t make waffles or fried eggs for breakfast! We enjoyed our meal and cleaned u the mess.  We made and took a few phone calls, making plans for future StressLess Camping RV Podcast episodes. I also worked on our upcoming travel plans.

Always close your awning when you aren't sitting under it.

We saw a neighboring trailer leave in their vehicle. They left their awnings open. The weather here has been really mild and it didn’t seem too dangerous. However, we recommend always put your awning in if you aren’t sitting under it.

Afternoon

We needed to have our lunch before our 1:00 call. Tony warmed up some leftover beef and broccoli. I ate the second piece of my fried chicken from last night.

We are trying to empty the refrigerator and freezer because when we drop the Mini Lite off for repairs in a couple of weeks, we won’t have any way to carry perishable foods. Wouldn’t you know, this is the first time we didn’t think we would need the 12-volt Bodega fridge or the UGreen portable power station. Darn it!

I fretted a bit more over our travel plans, and played some logic games on my phone. Overall, it was a productive but not too hectic afternoon.

We sat outside enjoying the sunshine for a while. We even put out the awning to extend the shade over the picnic table. Then Tony went in to prepare dinner.

Tony prepared a yummy pork chop dinner in camp.

Evening

We had pork chops with green chili, broccoli, and salad for dinner. We sat outside some more. Then we went for a walk. I wanted to move around after so much sitting today. Plus, we needed to take our trash to the dumpsters.

We walked around our camp ring and out to where the dumpsters are.  The campground was filling up a bit more, but I really expected it to be more full. I hope too many people don’t have to arrive and set up after dark, especially the tent-campers!

We each told our Apple watches that we were taking a walk. Tony was disappointed we didn’t quite walk a mile. I offered to go out again, but he said he was fine.

When the sun went down, we headed back into the trailer to do a bit more work and prepare for our last evening here at Starved Rock State Park.

As usual, we are leaving too soon. We didn’t get to explore the area at all, other than going to Utica for dinner last night. I’m sure there is much more to see!

Goodnight

We’ll have a decent amount of driving tomorrow, but we don’t really need to rush. We are returning to one of our favorite places: Shipshewana Indiana. I’m looking forward to our visit there.
