Live from Quartzsite - a boondocking water-saving breakthrough

This week’s StressLess Camping RV and travel podcast comes to you from the Quartzsite Sports, Vacation and RV Show where we got to see some of the coolest new gadgets including one that could potentially really extend the amount of time you can spend off the grid by saving a tremendous amount of water you use in the shower.

We get to meet with the inventor and see his motivation and just how you might be able to use only a gallon or less of water in your RV for a shower.

We also look at a very pricey RV that is very different than what you may have seen before.

Peggy Barthel

Welcome to the rain shower.

Tony Barthel

I'm Tony. I'm Peggy.

Peggy Barthel

And

StressLess Campers

We're your Stressless camping <laugh>. Yeah.

Peggy Barthel

I don't even wanna finish. That was so awesome.

Tony Barthel

Good. We are coming to you from the court site, sports vacation and RV show. We are here at the seminar tent with some people who found us here. I'm standing right in front of the camera and so thank you all for being here. And braving, it's the desert, so it's supposed to be warm and sunny and

Peggy Barthel

Its Yeah, warm and sunny and dry. It's

Tony Barthel

Raining like crazy. Yeah, it's cold and warm. <laugh>.

Peggy Barthel

Well, thank you guys for being here. And we are, are we doing that two RV industry veterans? I all know this part. Oh sure. Why not? Two RV industry veterans who travel part-time

Tony Barthel

In a small trailer looking to help you with great tips, tricks and discounts. That's right. Yeah. How's that

Peggy Barthel

<laugh>? So I got a ride from Paul today. He took me out to probably the site where we will have a meetup next week. And I posted in the meetup event calendar thing on Facebook, thing of a jigger, uh, where we plan to be. Now I'm saying plan potential probably because if someone else camps there before we get there, then that's not where we're going to be. And then we'll have to update it. But I did put where we think would be good. It's really easy access off paved roads. So check out the events on the Facebook page.

Peggy Barthel

And I used the what, three words app to find a location And if we didn't talk about that before, it's like 10 by 10 grid all over the world. So you can put an exact location. So your grid would actually be different than mine right now.

Tony Barthel

What three words?

Peggy Barthel

Yeah, what three words there Just randomly generated words. So we will be talking to the, the organizers peaks, the people that, the people that started, what three words are invented, what three words. In a couple of weeks we'll be talking to them and that will be the podcast episode. But for the time being, we're testing it out and that's how we're gonna try to get people to find our location. But if you have problems with that, let me know. Uh, I think Are you gonna tell that story on us? Yes, I am.

Tony Barthel

Okay. So, you know, uh, for those of you who listen regularly, know that we work with a, B, C Upfitters and we really like their solar and lithium systems. And one of the things you don't really think about is what happens if you're hooked up to shore power. And the shore power is no more power. And that's something that happened to us here in Quartzite. We were hooked to, they, they provided us. We're, we're literally camped on the midway. Yeah. Like we were last year. And they provided us with a 30 amp service that at some point went out and unbeknownst to us our power package just kicked in and started operating and we were fine.

Tony Barthel

We even were running our fireplace over

Peggy Barthel

Night. So I don't know why we have the inverter on while we were hooked while we were plugged in. Yeah.

Tony Barthel

We usually will shut the

Peggy Barthel

Inverter off this. These things wouldn't have happened if we had turned the inverter off. But this is a great test and a good story.

Tony Barthel

So we wake up in the morning and we're like, that's going on. You know, everything was working, but I'm, I'm such a nerd. I was looked at the display panel that's in the trailer and I'm like, why is the battery at 18% because we're plugged in. That doesn't make any sense. So another thing I really like is our Hughes Power watchdog. And I can look at the power consumption on a Bluetooth app and it's like we're sucking power like crazy now. 'cause now their power was back on and what had happened is the power came back on.

Tony Barthel

And so the battery system that we have said, woo power's back. And it's like, I'm taking all, I'm gonna take it off. You've told me I can have 28 amps. And so it was sucking power but the fireplace was going. And so the power watchdog was like you're over limit. And the neat thing about that power system is you can dial down how much power comes in. So let's say you are parked at grandma's house and she has a plug in her garage or something like that. You can dial it down so you don't overdraw their circuit.

Tony Barthel

So a lot of neat things, but it's neat to see and be able to adjust for circumstances. But also how cool is it that we lost power and we,

Peggy Barthel

We didn't even know until morning

Tony Barthel

We're running an electric fireplace overnight and no problem. So pretty cool. So we are big fans of A BC Upfitters. They do a great job of the solar and lithium installs and you can give them a call and find out more at 5 7 4 2 9 3 9 3 9 9. They do complete systems. They actually have engineers on staff. And we have been just thrilled with this system. And once again, it has proven to be pretty much bulletproof.

Peggy Barthel

We have been meeting lots of great people. <laugh>? Yeah. At the court site sports vacation and RV show. I did it right the first time.

Tony Barthel

Oh my gosh.

Peggy Barthel

<laugh>,

Tony Barthel

One of the things that happens when you come to these shows is you see all kinds of cool good goodies and gadgets of course. And one of the gadgets that was told to me before we even got here by a friend in who's at the Florida RV show, he says, oh, you gotta talk to this guy. This is the coolest gadget. And do you know anyone on the West coast who would be interested in this? And I'm like, well what is it? And so I got in touch with our guest about this gadget and then turns out we meet.

Tony Barthel

I bought one and I really like it. But let's find out more. What the heck am I talking about <laugh>?

Jonathan Ballesteros

Uh, yeah. So when I was living in the back of a van in Australia for a year, I was always running outta water. And I was really frustrated, especially uh, on the morning of a blind date, which is another story in and of itself. <laugh> trying to get washed and you know, smelling like a burning dumpster. Any new rate. I was always running outta water in the middle of my trip. And uh, I was just looking for a way to make the most of every drop of water. 'cause I was boondocking and living off grid all the time. So I invented a way for two people to take a shower with 0.8 gallons of water.

Jonathan Ballesteros

That's 10 to 20 times less water than any other shower in the market. And you can use it to not only clean yourself, your family, even your dog, but you can also use it to clean your dishes, your gear and just make the most of every drop of water, which is something I think we all find very important, especially if you're living off the grid.

Tony Barthel

So we are with Jonathan Ballesteros from Geyser Systems and that's who invented this system. And I'm gonna have a video of this, but what it basically is, is a device, well there are two versions. One is a fully self-contained shower system that will heat the water, pump the water and provide essentially, I'm gonna call it a sponge bath. Right.

Jonathan Ballesteros

I would call it an astronaut shower, but yes. Okay.

Tony Barthel

So if you're off grid camping completely, this system will run on 12 volt, heat the water and pump the water and give you a complete shower. So you can, if you're a van lifer or one of the funny things, you come to court site and see an ambulance and you don't know if someone's sick or someone's camping. Right. But an ambulance camper, it's a complete shower in a self-contained unit. But I know a lot of the people who listen to us have an RV with a shower in it as we do.

Tony Barthel

So we bought your kit to just attach to an RV shower. Yeah. And we've been trying it out for a few days and it's fantastic.

Jonathan Ballesteros

Yeah. For those who need a little bit more of an idea of what that actually looks like, you can take any shower head or shower wand in the RV market. You can just unscrew it from the hose line that it's attached to and then just connect our flow control that comes with a little bit of a tubing. And then at the end of the tubing we have different sponges that you can attach at the end of that tube. And you don't wash yourself with a shower head that's spraying water everywhere, but you wash yourself with a sponge that's directly applying each drop of water exactly where you need it.

Jonathan Ballesteros

And you got different color sponges so that you can easily understand like, okay, well well mine is yellow, yours is green, let's agree. This pink sponge for the dishes and now our base camp's all organized. The Geyser eco shower has been, uh, an outstanding solution for anybody in any RV to turn their 40 gallon water tank into 60 showers, which has been unheard of up to this point. So people have been really excited and this is our first time at the Quartzite Show and we've been seeing a lot of, a lot of happy faces and a lot of customers coming back and saying, my wife, my kids, everyone's clean, super happy.

Jonathan Ballesteros

Thank you so much. It's awesome.

Tony Barthel

I'm very pleased with the actual experience of using the Geyer shower that we bought from you. It just is a, it's just a really positive experience and the water saving. So the way I've gauged it, 'cause we haven't used even a fraction of a tank of water yet because of using your system. But as you take a shower in your rv, there's the sort of pause button that, you know, is supposed to get the shower head dribbling a little bit so it doesn't run outta hot water.

Tony Barthel

And that pump is, you know, it's kinda like, you know, it's, you, you know in your mind the frequency of hearing the pump and using your geyser system in our rv, the frequency that that pump cycles is much less. So it's less even than having the shower head off, which is like, wow, I'm gonna, I want to take a bunch of showers just so I could see how much water I'm saving, which would be a bunch of water wasted. But I, I am very impressed with what you've accomplished. Yeah.

Jonathan Ballesteros

Your shower is probably gonna be an entire day long if you just wait to see how long that water takes gonna last now. But, but yeah, no, I mean, I come from a background of designing advanced surgical instruments for, for Smith and nephews Striker Neurovascular. And I just applied everything I learned designing surgical instruments into this solution because I figured, well shoot, if I could know and if I could add an answer, how do I make the most of every drop of water? That's an answer that could possibly change the world.

Jonathan Ballesteros

And so I feel like people like us who are really pushing the limits of their gear and what I love about this community is like, we're tinkerers, we're project, we're go do, go do it. We figure things out because we're really at the forefront of a, a really like a, a don't wanna say limited life, but you really start to make the most, and you have to be as resourceful as possible.

Jonathan Ballesteros

And little did we know that people who live off the grid are actually, uh, at the very forefront of an idea that's now about to change the world. And I invite anyone who takes our product and just just envision what's possible for mankind. If we took this to places like let's say Mexico City where people are spending upwards of 10% of their income to get water transported to them by truck because they don't live on the water grid. And then they gotta spend even more money just to get the water heated. So, um, and they just use like what they call a hera.

Jonathan Ballesteros

Uh, they just take a little bit of Tupperware and they just splash it over their head from a five gallon bucket. You know, for people like them, you know, not only would this save them a lot of money, which save them a lot of time or save them a lot of energy that they could otherwise be doing.

Jonathan Ballesteros

And this is not just something here in Mexico City or in other foreign countries. I mean, shoot our own backyard. I mean, we live in an area that is facing mega drought, the southwest corner of our country. We're seeing average water bills going up $170 per month. And it's, it's only going up. San San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco have been declaring that their water bills are going up nine to 15%. And that's on top of the crazy rent prices that we're already seeing already. So we are here to help reduce people's water bills. We're here to help people live off grid comfortably.

Jonathan Ballesteros

We're here to help people have a whole new relationship with every drop of water. And most importantly, like you said, have an amazing experience. It's not like, like a low flow shower head leaves a disappointing experience. I don't know if you've ever tried to shower in a cloud of water or mist of water. It's a disappointing, sucky experience. And so this is an experience that's like, you're gonna be like, wow, I feel great. You know,

Tony Barthel

That's been my experience. And now with you saying you design medical equipment, I can understand, 'cause I was looking at it this morning, I'm like, you know, all the fitting because you know, RV plumbing stinks and I was looking at all the fittings and how everything was built and the, you have that diverter valve and everything feels like good quality stuff. Yeah. And I'm like, this is not a piece of junk. This is well thought through. And now having design medical equipment now it makes a lot of sense.

Jonathan Ballesteros

Yeah. And you know, I come from this tribe. So after I lived in the back of a van for a year, I had to buy an RV camper and park it next to a manufacturing line here in Colorado <laugh>. And my Jayco white Hawk Arctic version was awesome. But here's the thing that happened One winter, it, it got too cold and obviously I wasn't running a little dribble, so my shower head had a crack. Oh, now that's of course because water got too cold one night and all that great stuff.

Jonathan Ballesteros

But I was looking at this plastic shower head, it was like, really? I mean really Does it have to be that way? You know? Yeah. And so a part of me is like, look, I just wanna put out a good quality product that can survive the wintertime because I don't want that kind of nonsense from the people that do business with Geyer systems. We have a lifetime warranty, we don't want you to ever need to call us because you know, you've had a disappointed experience with our product. And so this product has been very thoughtfully crafted and a hundred percent of them get tested before they leave our line.

Jonathan Ballesteros

I mean, one of the reasons why people love Geyer Systems is because our customer service team who come from the assembly line, they know the product inside and out and they're empowered to take care of the customers if anything goes wrong. That's

Tony Barthel

Pretty awesome. And of course, the last question I gotta ask is, how did that date go with the <laugh>, since you said you smelled like a dumpster? I mean

Jonathan Ballesteros

Yes,

Tony Barthel

<laugh> or is that just not a question we wanna address?

Jonathan Ballesteros

No, it's okay. It's just my wife Lisa is probably listening to this part right here, right now. So it was a terrible day. Oh, Lisa, it was a very, very bad day. Oh yeah. Was it was a very bad day. It

Tony Barthel

Was. He smelled like a dumpster. She ran <laugh> the, the,

Jonathan Ballesteros

The shortest date of my life. Let's just say that. So, okay. No it was, it was just a really funny date. I'll tell you how it goes. Uh, for some strange reason, my friends decided to set me on a, set me up on a date with a girl who already had a boyfriend. And I don't know why that was so <laugh>. That's just not my style. And uh, that really confused me. So any rate, that's it. <laugh>. Okay.

Tony Barthel

That's certainly good. We will have a link to buy one of your systems. We have one that we're going to put in our home. Thank you. Awesome. And we have one that we bought from you that we have been using in our RV and just, we really like it. Good old, you know, American ingenuity company. So thank you.

Jonathan Ballesteros

Yeah, no, thank you so much for having me, Tony and Peggy and uh, you know, just thank you listeners for agreeing to giving me an opportunity to share what I love. You know, that's,

Tony Barthel

Well we love finding really cool stuff and you've got really cool stuff.

Jonathan Ballesteros

Awesome. Thank you <laugh>. Thank you.

Tony Barthel

Thank you. Yeah,

Jonathan Ballesteros

<laugh>, thank you.

Peggy Barthel

Thank you so much for being here with us and letting us know about the system and we will talk more. 'cause you know it's only the third day of the show and we got eight more to go or something like that. So What's that? Oh you saw him on YouTube?

Tony Barthel

Oh yeah, that's, I, isn't that the thing like anything you buy after we emailed each other, Jonathan and I, then that's when you're like, well I gotta see is this any good? Just like the Flad truck camper, right? You're watching a bunch of videos and all that and after I exchanged emails with you, I'm like Oh I can't wait to meet this guy and see this product because I gotta get one <laugh>. And I did and I like it. Yeah. Thank you Jonathan. Thank

Peggy Barthel

You. So how much longer would you say you're gonna be here?

Jonathan Ballesteros

Uh, we have to leave after the day today.

Peggy Barthel

Okay. So unfortunately by the time this airs and people are listening, unless you're sitting here listening, you can't come to the court site show to see Jonathan, you could come to see us go online. Oh, tell us your website 'cause we forgot to ask that. Oh yeah,

Jonathan Ballesteros

Sure. If you want to find out more, just check us out@geysersystems.com. Our products are also available at REI and you can find uh, a whole lot more and read everyone's great reviews. We're rated a top rated product in REI which is awesome. Otherwise if you wanna buy directly from us, geyer systems.com. Great.

Tony Barthel

And there'll be a link, link in our show notes at stressless camping yes. Dot com. Dot com.

Peggy Barthel

So Jonathan is just one of the vendors that we've been talking to and meeting here and some of the vendors we see every year. And we love that 'cause we're like hey, hi, how are you doing? You know, and some are new like Jonathan and other people so you know, we have deals and discounts on our website, right? What? Right. And a lot of those vendors, a lot of those deals and discounts come from things like us meeting people at shows. So we encourage you to go and check out the deals and discounts that we have but not only today.

Peggy Barthel

Keep checking back because as we talk to more and more vendors, we get more and more deals and discounts for you. So that deal and discounts page is always growing and always changing. And I am pretty sure we've talked to like three people just in the last couple of days that are probably gonna be added to our website in the next couple of days. And

Tony Barthel

One of the things to know is nothing goes there that we don't like. No,

Peggy Barthel

Absolutely.

Tony Barthel

Right. It's not just anybody. 'cause we do get hit up all the time about

Peggy Barthel

Stuff. We do get stuff, a lot of people asking us to give a discount to our listeners, but it's something we don't know or we don't haven't tried or that we think is of interest to our listeners. So those deals and discounts are things that we really think are going to be useful for you. Yeah.

Tony Barthel

The best things on the things you want for your stresses, camping experience.

Peggy Barthel

That's it. So sometimes we talk about a destination place. We've been and we've, we talked about quartzite I think, did we talk about the camel rides or

Tony Barthel

Oh you're, oh bring that up.

Peggy Barthel

Well I got to go for a camel ride while we were in. I got to go for a camel ride. Like Tony got to go for a camel ride. His was shorter 'cause he wasn't that interested.

Tony Barthel

It wasn't that, let's be honest. I was all excited. Woo. We're in quartzite so first year I'm gonna bust my own self. I'm honest. Okay. It's the first year that the camels have been where I could find them. I'm Oh this is gonna be great.

Peggy Barthel

And when we were actually available to leave,

Tony Barthel

Patrick went on the full camel ride. That's right. And Peggy went on the full camel ride and Tony got on the camel and lost his, you know what? And got off the camel because Tony doesn't like camel ride. Tony

See this content in the original post

Peggy Barthel

Decided

Tony Barthel

Not to. I was so excited to go on a camel and as soon as I got on it, well first of all,

Peggy Barthel

In hindsight, Tony doesn't like heights and Tony doesn't like horses. Oh right. So why did we think Tony would like camels? I'm not sure

Tony Barthel

You gotta try anything once. You gotta try. Well the other thing is, how do I say this? When I sat on the camel, there is a backrest thing and there's a hump 'cause hello. It's a camel and the distance between the backrest thing and the hump was less than the distance between the backside of me and the front side of me.

Speaker 12

And so I really enjoyed that camera ride for a very short period of time.

Tony Barthel

But yeah, I was just like shaken and you're way up high and it's just, that's not my thing. It

Peggy Barthel

Is a weird unusual rhythm pattern of walking <laugh>. So the other thing I guess that I was gonna mention about quartzite, 'cause we've talked about quartzite before and I guess I've already kind of said this but our meetup next week will be, there's a lot of of area here in in Quartzite and just outside of quartzite that is BLM Bureau of Land Management Property that is free for 14 days camping. And there's a lot that is, I realize I don't really know who manages it but it's

See this content in the original post

Tony Barthel

Just a wide open, open, sorry

Peggy Barthel

<laugh>. It's we, it's referred to as long-term part long-term visitor. Thank you. I knew there was LTV long-term visitor and that is, I think you can pay $40 and you can stay for up to $40.

Peggy Barthel

Two weeks. Two weeks or a little bit more to stay? I mean I think there's like an eight month price or something like that for six 180 for six months. Okay. So if you have not ever been to court site and you really want to and you're just not sure, like where should I go? You know, find what is BLM and what is LTV, long-term visitor and decide which one you want. If you only wanna stay for less than two weeks, then go out to the BLM part and you don't have to pay. And that's super cool. And that's where we're gonna do the meetup so that we don't have to worry about people having to pay for a site.

Tony Barthel

Another interesting thing about the camping here is people will find tribes. So if you like a certain brand of RV or you like star one year we were here and there's a bunch of people with telescopes or Yes. So there are a lot of people who have found their people here in the desert and that's another thing. So it's kind of like, you know, the first time you come here it's like holy smokes, look at all these people look at and then you might like at the court site show or wherever, find your people who share some common interest and then you get to camp with them.

Tony Barthel

Oh

Peggy Barthel

And by the way, Alan Paul showed me the ham group today where, who

Tony Barthel

Are like ham

Peggy Barthel

Where Alan is not camping this year. 'cause he is. 'cause he thought his daughters were coming but Oh

Tony Barthel

Right.

Peggy Barthel

<laugh>. But he usually camps with the ham. Yeah,

Tony Barthel

Buddy Allen's

Peggy Barthel

Here. People ham radio people.

Tony Barthel

He's here with the people with the ham. Yeah. Yet Paul brought us bacon and green chili Spice.

Peggy Barthel

That's right. And so

Tony Barthel

I, I like ham but I like bacon better. But I think there's a different ham than what you're talking

Peggy Barthel

About. I think you know that it's a different ham than we're

Tony Barthel

Talking about <laugh>. That's amateur radio, that kind

Speaker 12

Of ham.

Tony Barthel

Alright,

Peggy Barthel

Well we were also going to have Dennis from Harvey Superbag, but hopefully it means he's really busy inside and he wasn't able to come talk to us. So we'll just briefly tell you we have an RV Superbag. Well

Tony Barthel

We should ask everybody who's out there in your cars and listening, if you enjoy making the bed in your rv, raise your hand.

Peggy Barthel

Oh good. 'cause that won't disturb their driving 'cause they're not gonna raise their hand. <laugh> <laugh>. So the RV Superbag, if you haven't seen it or you don't know it's there, they do have a booth inside the tent. It is. I'm not gonna do it. Good service. Uh, it is like a big sleeping bag with sheets that are inside and they have Velcro but not the hard scratchy cornered Velcro. They actually have rounded Velcro that they sew in very well. So you're not being scratched by Velcro and it's inside.

Peggy Barthel

So when it's time to wash, you just tear the sheets out by the Velcro, wash them and then stick them back in. You don't have to worry about tucking corners. And I, whenever I pass somebody in there, I always say Listen, I have a fitted sheet that I put around the mattress just to make the mattress look prettier. I wash it like maybe once or twice a year just 'cause I feel like I should <laugh>. It's just a decoration. It's probably don't

Tony Barthel

Probably people should know that. Yeah, you don't touch it. Yeah,

Peggy Barthel

We don't touch it because that is just a kind of a decoration to make the mattress prettier than we put our super bag on top of that and we crawl into the super bag. So it is super great. It's all American made. It's made in California. We have had the same one for five years and I told Dennis the owner, I kind of wish they weren't so good because I have no reason to replace mine now. I don't need to replace it. I like the color but he has like so many great patterns and colors. I'm like darn I, you know, like I kind of wish I needed to get a new one and I just don't <laugh>.

Peggy Barthel

Yeah. It's

Tony Barthel

Been so good. No, they're just, and they use YKK zippers and yeah, it's just good stuff. Right. So Dennis can explain more, but we

Peggy Barthel

Will probably go talk to Dennis at some point during the week and have him describe them a little better. We

Tony Barthel

Have an article about the RV super

Peggy Barthel

Bag and there is an

Tony Barthel

Article Yes. At stressless camping.com.

Tony Barthel

What we also have an article about is this week's RV of the week, which is the living vehicle rv. And it's a towable RV that a couple in Santa Barbara came up with that is exceptionally well made and very, very different from what you would expect. And that's here at the show too to look at. So if you make it here before the end of the show on the 28th, you can look at this. They also make a fifth wheel, but they have a travel trailer here and it's just so exceptionally well made.

Tony Barthel

It's all riveted aluminum on the outside, but also the cabinets are aluminum inside. Right. So it's a little bit of an industrial feel, but one of the things I like it has a Murphy bed Now, wait, don't stop listening. It's got a Murphy bed that has a desk integrated into it that when you fold it down you can keep your laptop on that desk.

Peggy Barthel

Right. Is so when the Murphy bed is up on the wall, the desk is out and when you put the Murphy bed down the shelf just stays horizontal so nothing falls off. So you can leave the things on the desk.

Tony Barthel

And the awning on this thing is more solar panels. Yes. So when it extends there's more solar panels. Yes. And it's just a neat RV and exceptionally well made, but it's also half a million dollars. Boo. Yeah. So it ain't cheap,

Peggy Barthel

It's not light either. I heard someone ask. It is and I think it's like 12,000 pounds dry weight or something.

Tony Barthel

Its heavy. Yeah. So, but it's kind of, you know, I like seeing outside the box. Yeah. And, and all of that. So what, oh,

Speaker 13

It's 100% electric.

Peggy Barthel

Oh that's

Tony Barthel

Right. Oh yeah. It's also a hundred percent electric. Yeah,

Peggy Barthel

That's right. So the one that's on display here, as you walk in the door, you know like in a fifth wheel you might see the stairs or something. It is a switches a whole six foot high, two foot wide panel of switches. Of switches. Switches. Yeah,

Tony Barthel

That's true. Yeah. So it's, you know, it's not everybody's thing, but they've been selling these a lot apparently to people who put them on a property and keep 'em there. Okay. Not like nomads like us, although nomads like us could buy it too. For sure. And it's, it's a nifty thing. And you know, it's, it's fun to look at this kind of stuff at a show and I've seen it, oh, one of the things that like it has a projector instead of a tv. Right. So that, I don't know, that floats my boat.

Peggy Barthel

<laugh> and the

Tony Barthel

Shower. Oh, the shower. Shower. Oh you're right. Yeah. Patrick was

Peggy Barthel

Boutique floor. Yeah. And then the shower, there's not a shower head. There's a shower head and a shower wand and four horizontal shower heads. Spray spray.

Tony Barthel

It's one of those

Peggy Barthel

Outta the wall. One of those like fully immersive sprawl showers. It's,

Tony Barthel

It's the direct opposite of the geyser system.

Peggy Barthel

Exactly. It's literally

Tony Barthel

Like the flip side of that coin.

Peggy Barthel

Do you wanna save water, use geyser? You wanna wastewater? Yeah. Use that. Use one of those use. Yeah.

Tony Barthel

How if that thing's designed to be off the grid, how long does that shower take to, I don't know, to empty that brush water.

Peggy Barthel

But at 12,000 pounds weight they could have

Tony Barthel

150

Peggy Barthel

Gallons of water. That's true. So it sounds like the rain kind of slowed down, which is great, but having it rain all day today reminded me that probably as a little bit of a maintenance reminder, we should say, if it's not pouring rain right now, go outside and check the roof of your RV or do that soon-ish. So that, I mean, well I guess those of you that are suffering and in the snow and covered up, you can't do that. But you're probably not leaking if it's covered up. So

Tony Barthel

We

Peggy Barthel

Hope when you get it uncovered, don't forget to check the roof.

Tony Barthel

Alright.

Peggy Barthel

Last year. Oh sorry.

Tony Barthel

No, go ahead.

Peggy Barthel

Last week anyway, I said it wrong. Our question of the week was, are you camping? Are you packing, are you planning, are you wishing? And those of you who can see my screen can see that I, you maybe can't see, but I, I wrote some notes 'cause I didn't wanna have to open Facebook in case I couldn't get signal. But I really wrote it in, um, I wrote this P-C-P-F-P three <laugh>. So here's what it, here's what they said. Planning, camping, planning, full-time, but staying with family right now for repairs.

Peggy Barthel

Wishing, uh, repair, wishing because they're getting repairs. Planning all three. So Bill, I remember who this was. Yeah, my code bill is camping because he's on his way to court site for the

Tony Barthel

Meetup. Yeah, he's gonna be here.

Peggy Barthel

He's also on the day he wrote, he said he had just made his reservations for where he's going to be during the eclipse in April. And he's also planning our trip. Well the, the three of us are planning to go on a trip all through New England states in the summer. So he's also, he's uh, so fantastic at planning. He really researches and, and really digs in and figures out. And so he's doing all the things. Uh, planning, planning, planning, planning, wishing, wishing, wishing. And so we went to a show so that we'd have some kind of camping in our lives.

Peggy Barthel

Planning and packing. Uh, that was Ingle actually. And I think by now he's camping because he's coming to the meetup. Yep. And so I think he's probably on his way by now.

Tony Barthel

We talked to him about Yosemite. Yes.

Peggy Barthel

Planning. Planning. Wishing. Camping, camping, camping. Planning, wishing. Planning. Wishing, wishing. Camping while they're full time. Of course they're camping. Planning. Planning. Wishing planning.

Tony Barthel

Okay,

Peggy Barthel

That's my summary <laugh>.

Tony Barthel

So, so you can answer the question of the week at our Fun and Friendly stresses campers Facebook group. And we have a question for next week that's gonna be relevant during our gathering.

Peggy Barthel

That's right. For, for this week's question, my question is, what is the most and or the least useful thing in your RV kitchen?

Tony Barthel

So we're gonna have a show and tell next

Peggy Barthel

Week. So we're gonna have a show and tell at the meetup next week. We're gonna ask everyone to bring or maybe, you know, if it's your oven, don't bring it <laugh>, but be prepared to talk about it. And we'll do a little, you know, show and tell, show and tell. Everybody can get involved in, in being part of the podcast next week at the Meetup. So as Tony said that question, all the questions, more answers. If you want the details on W-C-P-P-C-P-W <laugh>, you can go read the details that people gave me. Those all can be found at the Stressless Campers Facebook group.

Tony Barthel

And you can get to that from our website@stresslesscamping.com where there are links under the hamburger menu to all of the places where social,

Peggy Barthel

You might not know, but sometimes we admit it. Now you see that we read our notes even though we're saying the same thing we say every, every week for two 40 podcasts. We just have to read our notes to make sure we say it right.

Tony Barthel

There goes forklift braces,

Peggy Barthel

<laugh>. So this is episode number 2 39. And so the show notes for episode 2 39 will be on our

Tony Barthel

Website@stresslesscamping.com

Peggy Barthel

On the podcast page. And of course I already mentioned the deals and discountsPage@stresslesscamping.com deals and discounts, which are growing and growing, especially when we go to shows. G height, G height. And then when you're done with all those things on the website and you wanna go do more social things, you go up to that top right corner and push on those cute little logos for all the social places where you can find us.

Tony Barthel

Tony Barthel

No, that would not be Stressless camping. Well, thank you again for being here in wherever you are. Thank you to our wonderful audience who braved a pretty severe rainstorm. Yes. Thank you for being to be here with us. We really appreciate you. We, we thank you very much. I mean, we can't, we would be just two idiots with microphones. Well, I shouldn't say that.

Peggy Barthel

We, we would only be too idiots with

Tony Barthel

Microphones, <laugh> without you. So thank you so much and most of all, Stressless, camping. Camping.

Mark Ferrell
