We’re thrilled to announce that an OPTIONAL and FREE registration is now open for the 2024 Rubber Tramp Rendezvous (RTRs), a unique gathering for those who find their home on the road.

Registration for the RTR and WRTR is optional. Tickets will not be issued and no one will be turned away. The RTRs remain free to attend. Click below to register:

The RTR and Women’s RTR is a Homes on Wheels Alliance Event.

Tel: 775.764.8115, www.homesonwheelsalliance.org, is a 501(c)3 charitable organization registered with the Nevada Secretary of State, pursuant to Title NRA 82A.200. Its purpose is to assist seniors and the working poor with unconventional housing as shelter. Contributions may be tax deductible pursuant to provisions of Sec. 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, 26 U.S.C.§170(c).

As always, the primary focus of the classes of the RTRs is to provide information for people new to the nomadic lifestyle. Previous classes include:

  • Philosophy of nomadic living (Bob Wells)

  • Safety on the road

  • How to find free camp sites

  • Camp etiquette

  • Solar power options for nomads

  • Cooking gadgets

  • Basic vehicle maintenance

  • Tin Can Q & A

  • Work Camping (to provide info about the Big Tent, a place to find jobs)

Other Activities in the Planning:

  • Free Pile — good quality stuff for the nomad — take and/or provide

  • Open House on Friday, when participants may display their rigs

  • Sweepstakes tickets available for the Bluetti AC500 which will be on display

  • Sponsors with products for the nomadic Lifestyle

  • Bulletin Boards – 1) For Needed Items/Services, and 2) For Items/Services to Offer

  • Cold-Weather items for those in need at the HOWA booth – blankets, hats, socks

  • Live Band

  • On-sight sewing services for repairs, curtains, covers, etc.

  • Vendors for coffee, drinks and food
