Easy campfire chicken bake recipe - make with a Dutch oven over the campfire

A recipe for easy campfire chicken which is a delicious and quick meal you can make in your camp in just a few minutes in your cast iron pan. You can make this over a traditional camp fire or even over the propane fire pit.

Ingredients

1 box chicken-flavored stuffing

16oz sour cream

1 can cream of chicken soup

2 cans canned chicken

3 cups grated cheddar and/or Monterey Jack cheese

1 box (optional) chicken-flavored rice

Preparation

1. Grease your cast iron frying pan (with lid) or Dutch oven

2. Mix the stuffing, sour cream and soup and layer into the pan

3. Layer in the optional rice

4. Spread about one cup of the cheese as the next layer

5. Add the chicken

6. Top with remaining cheese

7. Cook over the campfire with a lid on the frying pan or Dutch oven for about 20 minutes until everything is melt-tastic
